A PUB IN BATH
In 1996 gna were comissioned by an architect / owner of a new establishment to provide the carpentry services for a new licensed hostlery in Bath. The grounds had just been invaded by a bypass and the resulting fume and pollution had unfortunately killed a rare tree within the grounds, a Bhutan Pine, one of only two in the immediate area. Rather than discard this majestic old tree the owner mused upon using it as decor for the internal lavishments of the bar.
Having had it cut down before it fell down he had it sawn into random sized planks and stacked on the driveway, whereupon he consulted with us, together we formulated plans and designs for an inn with most peculiar differences and dare I say unrivalled beauty with a warmth and glow from this truly unique tree I have never encountered before or since.
The pictures you see here are the end result of four minds working in unison with eachother to produce a truly fantastic experience for both the craftsmen and public alike.

Green Oak Car Port
GNA Carpentry were commissioned to create a car port for a customer within a bat conservation area, a singularly exciting task presenting novel problems with unique solutions. The total construction was of GREEN OAK with a loft especially contrived for the habitation of bats.
Although the timbers vary in colour at the construction stage they will all weather down to a lovely silvery hue in time.
